assessing officer at over 200
dollars but not over 750 dollars.
(b) No rate shall be imposed in respect of any building of which the value, in the opinion of the
assessing officer, is 200 dollars or under.
(c) The assessing officer shall note in every
assessment and valuation list made out by him the
buildings which he finds neither to have nor to use
Government waterworks water.
(d) The word "tenement" throughout the Proclamation
shall mean a building rateable under this section and the words "rateable value" in section 16 (1)
shall be read as if the words "true value" were
substituted.
(4) (a) In respect of every building rateable under
this section there shall be payable to the military
government as rates a quarterly sum or amount as
specified in or ascertained from the scale set forth
in this paragraph. Such sum or amount shall be
payable quarterly in advance within the first month
of each quarter or, in the case of an interim
assessment, within one month after the making of
such assessment and thereafter quarterly in advance
as aforesaid. The first of such quarterly
payments shall become due in respect of the quarter
commencing on the first day of
Scale.
